The cook asks only to enter the cold room. The chef approves that harmless sentence. Yet the same order later contains a much heavier operation that was never announced before signature. On composed shell commands, the Claude Code permission prompt could foreground a harmless directory change while the significant Git operation stayed hidden behind it. The user therefore approved a label unrelated to the authority actually granted. A structural fix had already improved segmentation and deny-rule priority; the wrong sub-command was still being displayed afterwards.

La même petite demande revient dix foisSignauxThe same small request returns ten timesSignals

During service, the chef sees the same small slip ten times but cannot approve the real manoeuvre usefully. A first repair had split the actions better, yet the displayed sheet still chose the wrong piece. One signal is a prompt repeating over the same family of operations, impossible to whitelist usefully. The second is the gap between the displayed segment — shortest, least risky — and the effect of the complete command. At Claude Code, recurrence after a structural parsing fix establishes that parsing correctness and approval semantics are two distinct problems.

Une phrase vraie peut cacher l’essentiel de la commandeMécanismeA true sentence can hide the important part of the orderMechanism

The first displayed action is true, but it does not sum up what follows. The house merely chooses the least risky part to read to the chef. His yes covers those exact words, never the hidden operation.Segmentation can be syntactically correct while the interface keeps a low-risk segment as the representative action. That is the deception: the label is true, checkable, and unrelated to the authority granted. Consent covers only what the label states, regardless of what the system executes next.

The slip must explain the effect of the whole order and put the heaviest action first. Splitting the steps correctly is not enough; the kitchen must still choose honestly what it shows the chef.A permission prompt must summarize the semantic effect of the complete command and display the highest-authority action. The first parsable segment is not an acceptable candidate to represent the decision. At Claude Code the recurrence shows security UX belongs to enforcement correctness rather than to its presentation: improving parsing does not fix the choice of representative.

Un oui sur la petite ligne n’autorise pas la grande actionLeçonA yes to the small line does not allow the large actionLesson

The chef approves only the preparation described before him. An accurate label on the wrong action gives no informed permission for what follows.Approving the wrong description is not informed approval. Consent binds to the real effect of the operation, not to its representation in the interface: an accurate display of the wrong segment leaves the granted authority unchecked.
